RJ Russo’s latest collaboration was a Krispy Kreme Doughnut location at 5220 W. Bell Road in Glendale, Arizona. For this ground-up [new build] project, we partnered with the General Contractor Desert Build Construction, beginning in October 2019 completing early in March 2020.

RJ Russo was able to support an early opening for this Krispy Kreme location, fast-tracking the project by engineering steel trusses when the supplier reported a delay of 8 to 10 weeks out.

With over more than 1,000 stores worldwide and a successful business franchise for almost 90 years, Krispy Kreme is well-known for their old-fashion doughnuts and warm southern charm.

The goal was to offer the structural integrity necessary for this new, ground-up build. RJ Russo led with installing their structural steel columns, embeds, headers, bollards, and rooftop supports as well as stepping up and fabricating trusses and the joist package when the supplier fell through. Instead of letting this setback derail the project, RJ Russo’s innovation and agility kept the collaboration moving forward, allowing the opening to happen months ahead of the scheduled delay.

RJ Russo not only excels in providing unsurpassed sound structural integrity and ingenuity, but is as equally talented with refinement which was showcased with their addition of a canopy, roof access ladder, and stainless corner guards.
