RJ Russo was proud to be General Contractor for the adaptive reuse renovation of the penthouse suite in the mixed-use development, the Brickyard. Wood from the original kitchen cabinets were adapted and reused allowing us to coordinate wood elements throughout the kitchen, bathroom, wine cellar and overall design. Lutron light control systems wireless control newly installed HVAC, lighting, audio, video, zero emissions fireplace and security systems with a touch of a button or remotely by mobile device. Discreet occupancy/vacancy sensors create ambiance throughout the living space and save energy when no one is home. The windows were re-glazed and re-sealed. An auto-responsive window shutter system was installed to add privacy and to protect the windows from monsoon and other high gust weather conditions even when the occupant is not home. Touches of stainless and metalwork are seen throughout showcasing our ability to design, fabricate and install specialty metal products.
A temperature and climate controlled wine cellar was created with custom glass work from Carlson Glass, backlit display lighting, stainless steel accents and hidden refrigeration systems. High-end Pebble Tec flooring with built-in drainage was installed to provide a durable, easy to maintain surface for the outdoor deck. As with all RJ Russo projects, the Brickyard Penthouse adaptive reuse renovation that was fully permitted project with all aspects of work exceeding current code requirements.
